Almost 200 Guests Join Ardtully Care Home For Annual Summer Celebration
Ardtully Care Home welcomed almost 200 residents, relatives, friends and members of the local community for its annual ‘BBQ, Bubbles & Best Memories’ event, bringing people together for a special afternoon of good food, live entertainment and summer celebrations.

The guests enjoyed a delicious BBQ, as well as refreshing drinks, fresh fruit platters and an ice cream cart and joined in a raffle, while live performances from Holli Blue and the sound of the bagpipes kept everyone entertained throughout the afternoon.

Away from the celebrations, the day also marked the unveiling of Ardtully’s new memorial seating area.

Dedicated to two much-loved members of the Ardtully family, it gives residents, relatives and staff a quiet place to pause and remember those who played such an important part in making life enjoyable at the home.

The event had been weeks in the making, with the team working behind the scenes to prepare everything from the entertainment to the food and decorations.

Residents were happy to share what they enjoyed most, with one resident saying:

“I had three friends attend and they were amazed at the amount of food and drink on offer, from the ice creams at the start to the fruit platters at the end. They’ve already asked if they can come again next year!”

Another resident added:

My daughter came and we sat with people we’d never met before. By the end of the party we’d made new friends. We loved the bagpipes and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves.”

The Ardtully team would also like to thank the local businesses that helped make the day possible. Bennett’s Funeral Directors donated the popular ice cream cart, complete with cones and sprinkles, while Heartfelt Funeral Services, Ingatestone and Beresfords Estate Agents, Ingatestone, kindly provided a raffle hamper.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and judging by the comments from guests, ‘BBQ, Bubbles & Best Memories’ will be back on the calendar next summer.
